Who Can Get Vaccinated

The vaccine is no longer being reserved for priority populations. Anyone in the general population who would like a vaccination for H1N1 can get one.

Who Is Most at Risk

The H1N1 vaccine continues to be most important for those who are at the highest risk of severe illness, which includes the following:

• Pregnant women
• Children under 5 years of age
• People with chronic health conditions (such as asthma, heart disease, diabetes, or brain and nervous system disorders)

Where to Get Vaccinated

Your Doctor or Clinic  If you have a doctor or a regular healthcare provider, you may be able to get vaccinated there. Most health systems have already informed their members about when and where to get vaccinated. If you are unsure whether your clinic or doctor is providing the H1N1 vaccine, call them to find out.

Retail Pharmacies Many are now offering the H1N1 vaccine. Check the Flu Vaccine Locator on the Oregon Public Health Web site to find vaccines at retail pharmacies.
